Indeed, Hosking, Hunter was QUITE a character. And in spite of his rather often obscene commentary and wild living, he had a very keen and sensitive social conscience and often had many deep and poignant insights. And his customary sarcasm and dry sense of humor is, no matter WHAT his writing subject, HILARIOUSLY entertaining. His writing style is as colorful as was the man himself.

If one is willing to look beyond the crusty exterior, you would find a uniquely special man with much talent and much to contribute to society...albeit in his own scathing and flamboyant style of course.
